Work-life balance is a concept which speaks for itself … the notion of maintaining the proper balance between our professional and personal lives. It envisages a harmonious blending of these two spheres, where work, family and the pursuits which capture our enthusiasm come to together to form an integral whole, contributing to our healthy and balanced functioning.

When this equilibrium slips out of kilter, giving rise to chronic stress, what happens next is a decline in two elements which lie at the root of our commitment to our professional duties and responsibilities … motivation and job satisfaction. Hand in hand with that comes a downslide in the efficacy of the staff’s work and, as the organisation struggles with an atmosphere which is growing more difficult by the day, the spectre of dismissals starts to become a material reality. At the same time, professional burnout has repercussions on both our family and our psychological well-being. Fortunately, all of this can be combated by maintaining a work-life balance and, if that equilibrium has been lost, then re-establishing it will restore the sense of satisfaction we should be drawing from our professional and private lives.

How do I approach this?

Work-life balance is a concept profoundly familiar to me. I not only promote integral development, but have personal experience of the benefits to be derived from applying it. Having succeeded in restoring that equilibrium to my own life, I now share my knowledge and practices with the participants in my training sessions.

They enable us to engage body, mind, heart and spirit in parallel, taking us into the world of deep meditation, cleansing us of emotions and, as a result, restoring the balance to our private and professional lives.
